Emmanuel Church Worship
BIO
Emmanuel Church Worship is an Irish Christian worship collective from Craigavon, Northern Ireland. The church vision is to rewrite the story of Craigavon, Ireland and the nations with the good news of the Kingdom of God. As a worship community they seek to serve this vision through worship and by singing songs that have been birthed from within the church that exalt the name of Jesus and bless the church.
With a heart to write songs of their own, Emmanuel Church Worship began its songwriting journey through its youth collective capturing the essence of their worship. Their indie folk sound is organic and authentic, inspired by worship communities such as ‘United Pursuit’ and ‘Housefires’. Songs, such as ‘Come Again’ and ‘Rest’ have been sung in churches across Ireland and further afield.
During the past couple of years Emmanuel Church Worship has written and recorded a collection of songs which were released within the ‘Lockdown Sessions’. These, along with many new songs, were recorded as a live album in the summer of 2022 in Emmanuel’s own Glass Space. ’Joy of the Lord’, the first release from their live worship album, featured Hollie McCullough as worship leader. The uplifting song a declaration of the joy found in following God both in the good and hard circumstances.
'Love has overcome', the second release, featuring James Patterson, is a declaration that God's love is bigger than any injustice.
The full live album ‘The Rewrite’ was released in October 2023, a collection of 13 songs. Our prayer is that these songs, that have been birthed within our community, will exalt the name of Jesus and bless His Church.
"He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord." - Psalm 40:3
