Rescue is a ministry helping people with addictions. It takes place in Emmanuel every other Thursday at 8pm.

Rescue is led by Kenny & Gillian Emerson, Liz Anderson and Veronica O'Neill.

What is the purpose of this ministry?
That people discover that a relationship with Jesus will help them on their journey to recovery and they do not have to do it alone. With Jesus in their lives (and support from us as back up!) they will have victory.

Who can come to Rescue? Is it just for those with drug/alcohol issues?
No. Anyone with addiction problems can come. Partners or friends of addicts who need support are also welcome.

What do you do at Rescue meetings?
Encourage and support one another. We are a self-help group, chatting, praying and sharing our stories – good and bad!

Liz, why do you enjoy being involved with this ministry?

Having had a drink/prescription drug problem myself, I want to use my experiences to help and encourage others. My desire is to see people healed, accepted, loved and released and to find new relationship in Jesus.

Points for prayer

Understanding for how we can do things more effectively

That we could have Rescue going at least every week

That the people we already have see more victory in their lives
