What do you like to do on a day off?
I like to go shopping with friends, I also like to read.

Why did you become a Christian?
I grew up in a Christian home and was always taught about God. When I was 10 on a summer camp I experienced God's awesome presence for the first time and took the natural step of asking Him into my heart.

Favourite Bible verse:
Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

What is currently your favourite song, and why?
My favorite song seems to change every week depending on how I am

feeling and what's happening in my life. But a song that I have always loved and never seems to get old is I could sing of your love forever by Delirious. I love the way the lyrics are so simple with the chorus just being one line repeated. And the fact that it is so versatile, it can be sung upbeat as a declaration to God or slowly as a love song.

If you were to bring one CD on a long journey, what would it be?
I love live albums and at the moment it would have to be Facedown by Matt Redman.

It has the perfect combination of driving praise anthems like Dancing Generation to spontaneous songs like Lead us up the Mountain which usher us into worshipping God. The title track “Facedown” is amazing and sums up the whole theme of the album “When we face up to the glory of God, we soon find ourselves facedown in worship”.

Someone once said that it is important to be not a ‘worship leader', but a ‘lead worshipper'. How do you prepare to worship God yourself as you lead others on a Sunday?
The whole theme of lead worshipper instead of worship leader I think is brilliant because it puts first and foremost the fact that we are there to worship God. In preparing for Sunday I like to make sure all the small things are in place musically/technically at practice so distractions don't occur and take away from worship. But more importantly before leading others I try to settle my heart before God and be open to Him. I think it's important to be natural and let the Holy spirit guide you if you focus on Jesus then everything else will fall into place.
