Last September we launched an ambitious plan to become a Church of small groups rather than a Church with small groups.

The goal that we believe God put on our heart as the Eldership of Emmanuel was that EVERYONE would have the opportunity to be part of the large Sunday

CELEBRATION and a midweek CELL. You'll probably remember one of the phrases that we shared - Our heart is to become a Loving Church Family where NO-ONE STANDS ALONE'.

We suggested in September that this process would take at least two years.

Cell Leader Training started on Monday 20th September 2004, and continued on eight other Monday evenings until Christmas.

Nine Pilot Cells' made up of those who completed the initial training were launched in homes on 10th/11th January.

We have come a long way over the last 12 months, and it has been great to see and hear of the positive impact that Cell is making in many people's lives. We thank those who have opened their homes, those who have 'stood up' and volunteered to lead the 'Pilot Cells', those who have faithfully attended each week and most of all... Thanks to God for His grace, wisdom, vision and longsuffering as we co-labour together to see His Kingdom established on this earth.

Finally, we have been overwhelmed and greatly encouraged by the number of people who would love to be part of a Cell right now. Please be patient with us as we endeavour to develop the strategy for Cells that we believe God has given us.
