Hold on to Hope
I was reading in Romans 5 this morning very early. I had been awakened by a phone call at 3am and just couldn't get back to sleep. I made a cup of tea, dandered around the house (which didn't take long) and then settled to read. Romans 5:3 tells us to rejoice when we run into problems and trials because they help us develop endurance. Now how wierd is that, ever heard of anyone saying let's have a praise service and rejoice in our troubles and yet that what the scripture is teaching us.
It goes on to say that Endurance develops Character and then Character develops HOPE.
Verse 5 says "THIS HOPE WILL NOT LEAD TO DISAPPOINTMENT". Man I love that to the depths of my core.
Here's my point, Jesus never told us that Life doesn't bring disappointments, IT DOES but HE never disappoints us.
Hope will keep you alive, so HOLD ON to it.
