Storms
I usually sail on a Monday morning, out to lift sand for my brothers. I set my clock for 4am as usual but was wakened earlier by the wind on my roof window. I opened my window to look and I made the wise choice and got back into bed to leave the sailing to another day.
I was reminded of an old seaman who said, "In fierce storms we must do one thing, for there is only one way to survive: we must put our ship in a certain position, face the storm, and keep her there".
Life has a way of bringing some storms and the older one gets the more they seem to understand this principle. In the storms of life you must anchor yourself steadfastly upon the Lord and then come what may, whether waves, rough seas, thunder, lightening, jagged rocks or roaring breakers. Richard Fuller writes, you must lash yourself to the helm, firmly holding your confidence in God's faithfulness, His covenant promises, and His everlasting love in Christ Jesus.

Great to see you blogging again especially when it's just what I needed to hear (Why i'm even on the computer at this time of the nite/morning i have no idea!) It's wierd how you know that God's your rock but in the middle of the storm you can so easily forget. Thanks for reminding me!
