Distance
In Luke 22:54 Jesus has just been arrested and been brought to the high priests home for an illlegal trial. Verse 54 tells us that Peter followed at a distance. This was the beginning of Peter denying His Lord, three strong denials would follow but it all started with distance.
I wonder how close you are to the Lord this morning or have a few steps got between you and Him. We could think of the names of some of those steps, like fear, rejection, busyness, weariness, self, the list goes on, only you can answer.
The results of distance between you and the Lord are devastating as verse 62 shows us Peter leaving Jesus presence altogether and weeping uncontrollably. I bet Peter never dreamt he would do this but it all started with DISTANCE.

About 10 years ago I gave my life to the Lord but over time through my early 20's I allowed a great deal of distance get between God and me. I struggled for years finding strength in my faith but over this past year or so I've found myself being called back. Having just read todays blog I would just like to say how relevant I have found it in my own experience....... Thank you !
