Unique
What a day we had yesterday in God's house as we celebrated 10 years of God's faithfulness to us in emmanuel. It was a bitter sweet day for me and the kids which stirred many memories of Jill, how she would have loved yesterday.
I had to conclude the day not by looking back but looking forward to what God has in store for us as a church and as a family.
Reflecting on the 10 years as I lay in bed last night I came to some conclusions about God.
He is UNIQUE in His thoughts, Isaiah 55:8,9 tell us His thoughts are higher than ours, He thinks totaly different than us.
He is UNIQUE in His person. God is not a superman or just an elevated man, He's God, He's Sovereign, He rules over everything and everyone.
He's UNIQUE in His Existence, Psalm 90:1-2 "Lord thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations, Before the mountains where born or thou dids't give birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, THOU ART GOD."
Once we have sorted out the Uniqueness of God then I think we can begin to know Him because the good news is He makes Himself available to us.
I'll tell you how to know Him tomorrow.

Hi philip, i would have loved to have been there to mark 10 years of emmanuel but i was involved with a special service for students in WPC. I'll have to get the dvd instead! Bless you this week.

I knew you could do it! Yesterday was one of the best services and you are right Jill would have loved it. God has brought you this far and will continue to be with you in everything you do. It was lovely to see Lisa and Amy in choir, Phil was amazing on those drums, and blessed me so much to see Debbie right by your side. What a family i'm so proud of you all.

A Great day in Gods House Phil! The lives on stage last night that have been changed by God through Emmanuel brought tears to my eyes, and that was only a fraction of lives changed! Isn't God amazing!!!
THANKYOU for being obedient to Gods call in your life, for coming together with Steve and starting emmanuel 10 years ago! Love ya!
What a day yesterday was
Well done to all the boys and girls (my two girls included) who led us in worship
As ever Emmanuel did what it does best when planning it's vision....it built it around it's people and building them up
The "finale" of last night's meeting showed what Emmanuel is all about - real people and real lives. Changes and progress and a sense of belonging to the greates family in the world - God's family
Can't wait for cell!!!!

sunday was an amazing day in church both morning and night were awesome, sunday night was special at the very end when the people got up with the boards showing what God has done in their lives it brought a tear to my eye and i thought sometimes you can take it for granted and not think about it but to think what i was and what God has taken me from and where i am now is amazing.lookin forward to what God has in store for emmanuel its so exciting
