I think to really conclude this little series I have been thinking of a formula that might help you to be DRIVEN by God, there are four things that have helped me.
1. Magnify the Lord. Psalm 40:16 "The Lord be Magnified". I think the base of all trouble is that we do not see God big. My kids bought me a telescope for fathers day a couple of years ago and I love it. What it does is interesting, it dosn't make the moon bigger, it just helps you see it bigger. You can't make God bigger, that's impossible, but you can begin to see Him bigger. Most people magnify people and minimise God but God is greater than anything I can say about Him.
2. "Mortify your Flesh". Colossians 3:5 This simply means to realize that the flesh life will try to rule you, your mind, pride, temper, lust, etc. We have a little dog and when it gets washed it as skinny as anything. I always say its like a hypocrite, not as big as all that fluff lets on. The Scripture tells us to put to death the flesh, destroy it or it will destroy you.
3. Simplify your life. Colossians 3:22. You know it probably wouldn't hurt any of us to get rid of some stuff. Life is full of so many things you don't need.
4. Serve your Generation. Acts 13:36. I have talking much about serving but so many people seem to have been disappionted in this so I finish by giving you a few questions to ponder.
(a) What has disappionted you?
(b) How can I deal with this?
(c) How can I make my dis-appiontment a re-appiontment?
Hebrews 12:12,13 "SO TAKE A NEW GRIP WITH YOUR TIRED HANDS AND STRENGHTEN YOUR WEAK KNEES. MARK OUT A STRAIGHT PATH FOR YOUR FEET SO THAT THOSE WHO ARE WEAK AND LAME WILL NOT FALL BUT BECOME STRONG".
