Driven 4

Boy this is turning into a mini series really. The question yesterday was, Do we love to serve? I started to think about that after I wrote it and I came to the conclusion that if you love what you do it makes it a whole lot easier. I wondered at how many people in their lives have taken a cut in their salery to actually do something they love to do, I would imagine a lot. I Love what I do, I tell people it's by far the hardest job I've ever had but the most fulfilling because I love it. Could it be that LOVE is the primary thing that drives everything. The old saying is "It's LOVE that makes the world go round", I actually think it is.
Life without LOVE is a pretty worthless thing, The Bible says "God is LOVE" (1 John 4:8,16), it's a characteristic of God, He cannot not love.
The Bible also tells us in 1 Corinthians 13:13 three things that will remain forever, Faith, Hope and Love, the greatest of these is love.
I have been at bedsides and watched people die and I have never yet heard any one call for their diplomas or certificates but I have heard them call the people they love because everyone has a desire to love and be loved.
So to conclude this little series here's my points.
1. People that are DRIVEN by God understand love and purpose.
2. Purpose always points to the future and to other peoples future.
3. If your DRIVEN by God and you have purpose and love, tomorrow will be a better place because you acted today because the best time to LOVE is NOW.

Was reading the last 4 blog entries and couldn't help but think of 3 kids currently in the care of Helping Hands, Healing Hearts. Mother dead. Father abusive. Future none. Here surrounded by toys and comforts such as they have never known these 3 kids seek only 1 thing - hugs! Yes LOVE they can FEEL with their whole being.Boy can they hug!I came to serve in love but you know what? I receive more love in return than I ever imagined. I feel sorry for those not motivated to serve thru the love of God - their lives must be terribly empty.

So true. Love is an amazing and powerful emotion that always ensures we go the extra mile even when the road is long and rough. Just glad you are in a role to share your love with us so we have an example of true love in everyday living.
