Serving others
We had a good day in Church yesterday, I spoke on "Fighting the good fight of Faith" in the morning service and then our Ugandan team did a report in the evening and it was amazing. 40 of our people went to serve God in building dorms, teaching kids, supplying medicines and much more. I came home thanking God for being part of a Church that serves and I was caught away by the awesomeness and privilage of just serving. Again Gods Word reminds us that it is more blessed to give than to recieve and our team certainly did that, they gave of their time efforts and money to be there serving a nation that is most certainly less privilaged. I don't know if you've ever been around someone who constantly complains but if you've lived at all I'm sure you have. Here's another of my lifes obervations for you today, the people who do that usually you will find never serve. They live in their own little world of my needs, my wants, my problems and no-one ever has it tougher than them, they think.
These people need what we all need, a serving others ministry because we then get our eyes of ourselves and begin to look around at a needy world. This is a principle that the Apostle Paul taught the church at Rome, in 12:10 he says "in honour prefer one another". Hope you can do this, it's life saving stuff.
No blogs for a week, I'm off to a conference in the states but I'm like a a rainy day in newcastle, never far away. Be back writing tuesday week.
