ONLY
Psalm 9:9,10 “The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed (distressed or worried). A refuge in times of trouble. Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for You”.
I want to encourage you today to draw strength from this passage because it is amazing and it’s true. God does not run out on the searcher. In Isaiah 30 God’s people had turned into a rebellious nation, they where searching everywhere for advice trying to find the easy option to their problems. Of course we know they should have consulted God because He specializes in times of trouble and we must stay close in good times and in bad because in doing so we build stability and strength for living no matter what comes our way. Isaiah 30:15 God speaks to them with these powerful words, “ONLY in returning to Me and resting in Me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength”. Hear those words “ONLY IN RETURNING TO ME WILL YOU BE SAVED”. In John 14:6 Jesus says “I am the way the truth and the life no man comes to the Father but by me”.
Here’s my simple life’s observation for today taken straight from the Word of God. If you are in trouble, there is only one answer, His name is Jesus. Maybe like the people in Isaiah 30 you have been running here, there and everywhere, straight ahead is the only way to run, into the arms of the Saviour because it’s ONLY in returning to Him you can be saved.
