Keep Pedaling

Growth is a wonderful thing to watch I'm sure you will agree. As you watch your kids grow or a tree or a flower it is always a sign of progress. I tend to think Faith is a bit like this, you can't whip it up or fake it, it just grows naturally. Jesus said in Luke 6:43 that a good tree cannot help but produce fruit.
On Sunday as I listened to the testimonies of those that where baptised I was thinking about this principle of growth. It is so lovely as a pastor to watch the kids grow, some of the kids now in teens I remember being born but its fantastic to watch the vital signs of the christain life blossem and bloom in someones life.
Now I'm not a very good gardener but I know this much that growth takes patience and you must be prepared to get your hands dirty. You cannot plant seed and expect to eat it for dinner tonight. We need to stick around and tend to it and wait on it growing. God is like that with us, he sticks around through our ups and downs and He promises to produce in us a harvest.
If today your dealing with what I call the two D's; doubts or disaster I want to urge you to let your Faith grow, don't expect it to happen over night. Just let go and let God, remember the key to growth princples are exactley the same as learning to ride a bike. "KEEP PEDALING".
