God's eyes 2

Probably one of the best stories in the Bible to read on the subject of change is that of Gideon. His whole life story can be read in just 3 chapters, Judges 6-8. Gideon was called by God like you and I, the problem was he couldn't see what God could see, for instance when the Angel of the Lord appeared to him he was hiding from the enemy but the Angel called him a Mighty man of valour. One of the things I love about God is that He has the ability to see you for what you can become. Now Gideon had to change to become that person and I think it was a simple enough process, he just needed to begin to see himself as God did. There are 3 areas he needed to change to make that happen that might apply to you and I.
1. His Self Esteem, it was in his boots, he was living in a defeated land, he never thought it could change let alone him be the one to bring about the change. The reason for this was
2. Vision, he simply didn't have one. No matter what your situation today, no matter how bleak you need to force your chin off your chest and begin to look ahead. The Bible says without Vision we perish, and that's so true, we need a vision of where we are going.
3. His Relationship with God, he had forgot about the great things that God could do. Isn't it funny how our memeories lapse when we are in a hard place and we forget all the benifits and blessings of the past. I'll elaborate more on this tomorrow, hope you're blessed.

Hi Philip

You are such an inspiration and what you say is so true i think in the last few months i seem to have lost my vision and why i dont really know. You have just reminded me of past blessings which i sometimes take for granted.
When i look around whats going on in the world today i have so much to thank God for today. Its 10 years next week from i was ill and God brought me through that and gave me a promise then and i will hold onto it "I will never leave you nor forsake you"

Love you loads
