A BIG GOD

I’ve been reading and writing a little bit on Job lately for myself and I came on chapter 11:7,8a where one of Job’s friends named Zophar asks Job, “Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty? They are as high as the heavens, what can you do? Zophar was trying to imagine how big God was but he started realizing what I have come to realize that He is so big sometimes our minds can’t handle it. Verse 9 says “Its measure is longer than the earth and broader than the sea”. We can try to theologically explain God but the bottom line is HE’S A BIG GOD. Isaiah 40:16 “To whom can we compare God”.
Here’s the deal, if you hang about radio active material it will do something to you. If you hang about God it will do something to you.
In Psalm 73 the writer looked around and saw the wicked getting away with their wickedness and the righteous getting hammered. It drove him to despair until he went into the sanctuary and got a vision of God. Then he looked at himself in the mirror and said, verse 22 “I was senseless and ignorant, I was like a beast before you”.
You know what I think for what its worth. Most of our problems can be traced to our perspective of God. Some people cannot lift themselves out of anything because they have a small perception of God.
Can I tell you my friend today that our God is greater than any problem, Larger than any circumstance, uniquely kinder than any act of mercy. His love is sheer extravagance upon any partaker who is willing to trust Him.
Stop paddling your little leaky canoe and climb aboard the Kings Cruise liner and allow Him to love you, to direct your paths, to plot your course.
1 John 3:1 “Behold what manner of Love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God”. Now that’s love.
