Alone with God
Friday is my day off and Jill and I always spent it together. It was a sort of non routine day that we looked forward to and always enjoyed. I am trying to spend fridays with God now, I like Mark 1:35 "When it was still a great while before dawn, Jesus went out to a place to be ALONE WITH HIS FATHER".
If Jesus needed this how much more do we need it, He felt the need to be alone with His Father.
In my busyness Oh how I have neglected time alone with my Father, always gleaning to give out but never to take in and build that relationship with Him.
Can I encourage you to climb a mountain or find somewhere where you can be ALONE WITH YOUR FATHER, you'll be suprised to find He's there waiting for you.
Love yas
ps I'm away to climb a mountain, I'll be praying for you.

Love from me!
Hi Phillip
Still enjoying reading your blog...to be alone with God is the best thing ever, although with the busyness of life it always seems to be the most difficult thing to achieve especially when you are easily distracted like myself.
Praying that you have a blessed time with our Daddy God and that you sleep well tonight.
A big big love.
Hi there Uncle Phil
What a fab week its been for walkin! I love getting the pram out and walking Abi around these roads, it makes me feel so much better!
Isn't it strange how the weather can determine a persons mood and yet God loves the rain just as much as He loves the sun. I find it a comfort to know that even though everything around us may change (like the weather), our God is changeless!
I used to believe that the rain was Gods tears and the sun was His smiles. Funny how things stick with you. (I also thought if I stamped hard enough on the ground it would give the devil a headache)!
Anyway, today on my wee kitchen calander it read:
Looking at tomorrow produces 'future shock.' Looking at Jesus produces 'present peace.'
Love you loads

p.s Jack talks about you every day and always asks what I think aunty Jill would be doing NOW. He tells me that he knows she is very happy and loves watching down over you and the family!
Hi Phil. Read your blog (obviously). You have been called to be a leader, like Peter. When Jesus called him to that great task He asked him 'do you love me'? Peter said 'you know I love you'. Jesus said 'feed my sheep'. That calls for a great deal of hard work and time spent finding fresh food for others. But I believe that when you were searching for food for others God fed you as well and thats why you are what you are today, a man of the Word and a real shepherd of God's people. We wouldn't be where we are today had it not been for those hours you sacrificed and the time spent in order to give. God bless you and keep you. He has promised to do that, 1 Peter 1:5 'You are kept by the power of God' (present tense). You are secure because you are continually guarded by God, who never relaxes His vigil. Be encouraged. We love you. Sleepy Shores x
