Time
5 weeks tonight since Jill passed away and I have been trying to adjust to life without her. I find it weird but everyone tells me it will take time. Now theres an interesting word.
Have you ever thought of the words that hold so much emphasis here on earth but that actually won't exsist in Glory. God dosn't have a clock, He's not even ruled by day and night or by seasons. The Bible says a day is like 1000 years to God, He's just not controlled by time. Psalm 144:4 says "Mans days are like a shadow that passes away". Makes me want to make my days count, makes me consider my eternal bank account. Is it in credit or debit? Will what I do today make an eternal deposit into my account. The reality is that when God returns or calls you home through death your account will be closed and then you live eternally on the deposits made but they can only be made in TIME.
Have a great day. Bless ya

Hi Phil,
Your blog this morning makes a lot of sense and is very challenging! As you said, God isn't constrained by time. Time only came into existance when God made the earth and the universe. Hence the clock started to tick so to speak when the earth was created.
Interestingly, this fact helps to explain how God has always existed even before the universe was created!
Anyway, hope you have a good day. . .

Phil, your blog is an inspiration thanks for your honesty. Just had Pete Kernighan out here for a few days he's a good lad.
You and the family are in my thoughts Phil. Thanks for sharing your heart with us.

I come here every day to read your blog. It's an inspiration every day to read your words; to be permitted to share the struggles and thoughts from your heart is a blessing.
We love you.
Our prayers are with you always.

hi phil
was really challenged by your words this morning when you said about wanting to make each day count , i thought of how many days i waste on things that arent important and felt challenged instead to replace time spent wasted , with spending time with God and reaching more people , its what we do here on earth for God that counts.
i am praying for you and the whole family that there will be a big breakthrough soon , i know thats easy for me to say but your in my heart , thoughts and prayers daily
Love ya 2 bits bro
God Bless

Uncle Phil,
This is the first time i've been here and I still don't have any words to express what I think or feel. I sat in church on Sunday and kept thinking that there is such a void. Its like there's part of the body missing. I have no idea what you are feeling at the moment but this I do know is that God is very real and very very close. He loves you exceedingly more than you can ever think or possibly imagine. The words of Psalm 40 v 10 - Be still and know that I am God, have been in my head constantly. Wow, God's plans? What are they, how do we know what they are, how can we ever contemplate or ever understand them or their purpose for our lives. Truly great is the mystery of godliness. All I know is that God is sovreign, God is in control and God is Love. I guess that is good enough for me, thats all I need. Its all you need to. I remember you saying in the house one night, "normally people come to me asking me to fix problems. How do I fix this one?" This is where we as a church kick in. We are here for you because we love you and are you church family and friends. I know your pastor, but you will always be uncle Phil.
God bless you abundantly pal. Love you loads.
