Fires

I have now entered week 6 without Jill, mind you it's not getting easier yet, I miss her more than my own life at present. In a time of suffering I have found I have to be very careful with my thought patterns. The enemy has a way of kicking when your down. I read Isaiah 50:11 this morning,
"But instead some of you want to light
your own fires and make your own light.
So, go, walk in the light of your fires,
and trust your own light to guide you.
But this is what you will recieve from Me:
You will lie down in a place of pain".
Man made fires are dangerous. When i was young me and Kenny jumped drains after school with a few friends. (its what you did growing up in the country) If you fell in and got wet we would have lit a fire to dry out. that was not a good idea in boggy land in the summer time. It could quickly get out of control and we could not get it out.
How many times have you taken a pair of socks to the window to see if they where navy or black. Man made light is dangerous. Abraham lit his own fire and birthed Ishmael, Peter went to the wrong fire and denied Jesus.
Can I encourage you today to stay at Gods fire, don't walk in your own fires and PLEASE pray I don't either.
Love yas

Thanks Phillip for being so fearless in sharing your personal thoughts and feelings.I find them very humbling, thought provoking and inspirational.
I lit my own fire and invited many people to come and walk in the light from it. I ended up in a dark and lonely place where I never want to return. Praise God for redemption, forgiveness and mercy. Praise God for the wonderful cross. Praise God for his blessed word and praise God for Jesus in whom we are more than conquerors.
Lets stay at Gods fire and pray for each other.
Bless ya Phillip with a big big love
