Family
The last few days have been unbelievably difficult and I have found myself in places of great despair. I was thinking this morning about family, I have great kids and I love them deeply. I have 5 brothers and a sister all of who are older than I might I add. Mum and Dad and Jills Mum and sister are all great.
Have you ever thought as believers God extends our family to a world full of brothers and sisters. Over the past 6 weeks I have opened letters from India, New Zealand, Albania, Phillipines, USA, Africa, Canada, etc. My brothers and sisters all over the world.
My natural brothers and sister are the best in the world and we have always been close, so much so my Mum used to say if something was wrong with one it was wrong with us all and I feel that at present.
Last night my church family prayed for me at our prayer watch and it brought home to me that I need all the family that I can get. Theres nothing like the local church when its functioning right.
So if you are getting it tough, don't isolate, ask your family for help, they really care.

You're right, Philip, our family has been amazing,the solidarity has been almost tangible - has made me proud, in the midst of all that has taken place, to be a part of the Emerson clan. Marty had to work today, so me & Cait & Ella spent the afternoon outside, and the girls talked to God about you...
