Had a good weekend. Football service went well in church last night. Thanks to Joel T, Jimmy G, Gareth Eakin and Guyso. They did a great job and I thought it was a class laugh with a strong message of faith. Heading up to White Park Bay for a retreat here with my amazing interns - can't wait for it and promises to be a bag of laughs. A nice week easing into a month in Uganda...

'Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.'Reading through Matthew at the minute and came across this verse again which always stops me in my tracks and forces me ask myself some questions. Why I do things, why I say things, what my motives are, where my security is....what in my life really matters to Jesus. Food for thought at the minute..

Holidays
After a busy but amazing week spent in Lurgan Junior High with over 200 year 10s, and a team bonding day on saturday for the team going to Uganda I am now relaxing in Costa Blanca, celebrating my anniversary with Lins. Has been a nice couple of days, doing nothing, watching footie and sunning myself, although the weather could be better. Unfortunatley a tad overcast. Just had the most amazing Indian meal and watched Brazil game...this is the life!!

Yesteray was my first anniversary but could not get onto my blog for some reason. So for all you blogging people, today will have to be the day!! Feels wierd the thought that i now have been married a year but it does feel great and being married to Lins as made be a better person. Don't you agree?!!!
'Love is not the giving of one's possessions but the giving of oneself.'
From a book i am reading at the minute called 'The Prophet' - nice quote I think and definitely true. It's just that I find it very hard to put into practice!!

Relentless Persuit
There is this picture in Arthur and Liz's house, just outside Nik's bedroom and it catch's my attention every time i go past it. It is a picture of aeroplanes during WW2 in battle - i think it is a bomber put i not really up with my planes so not exactly sure. Anyway its the phrase at the bottom of the picture which always get me. It simply says, 'Relentless Pursuit.' I love this phrase. The thought of being pursued is always a nice feeling I suppose but to be so relentlessly by the Almighty is altogether mind-blowing, staggering, mystifying and flipping amazing. Maybe your not sure what it is like to be pursued - may you realise that at this very minute God is out for you; you are being chased... and my prayer is I hope you get caught.

You'll never walk alone.'
Alright, so it appears that my visit to Anfield has caused a few stirs amongst some people!! So here it is - me outside the famous gates!! 'You'll never walk Alone' - i feel a sermon coming on!! Oh yeah Phil, Anfield is a football ground, the home of the best team in the world, and that means, yeah, they do play football there!!
Also managed to take a walk down Matthew St. passed the Cavern and get our picture taken with John Lennon. He is the one in the middle by the way!!
