24-5 prayer

true went amazingly well last night. I am going to post something on the true website asap about what we were exploring so you check it out and leave your thoughts.

We have almost completed our second week of 24-5 prayer. It has been a special two weeks as we have watched different people from different backgrounds/denominations/ages come and pray. The momentum of prayer seems to be building as the days have gone buy and we are excited about the next two weeks. Our desire is that this month of prayer would be a blessing to the church in Lurgan and that more of God's glory would be seen in His bride, the church. We also pray that God would 'rend the heavens' and come down amongst us by His Spirit bringing people to their knees in confession and repentance to seek His face; we pray that Lurgan would be a place of love, life, joy, peace and justice and that as God blesses us we would be a blessing to the rest of our country and the nations. A fuller description of what has been happening will be posted soon on the 24-7prayerireland page

One of the privileges of taking a slot in the prayer room is that you get to read people's prayers of love and adoration to their Saviour and king. One of my friends wrote this and left in the prayer room.....i think it is beautiful.

'May the songs we sing in worship
be the songs we live for you
may they empty out like rainfall
turning old things into new
may we never think that singing
is but all our offerings made
but to bow our heads in service
so that others head be raised

may our motto be a branding of
'life given is life gained'
may we never seek a pleasure
that may cause another pain
may we conquer insecurities
knowing your divine humilty
minding not our fleeting bodies
for our souls you will sustain

may be words, oft with such eloquence
be more than ink and curve
may the truth of what is written
with my own hearts ears be heard
may the life be than ritual
in the letting go and living full
my worship - something visible
the beauty you deserve.'

  • Been to the prayer room. It is so relaxing and a place where you can really sense God. Also at True. It was very challenging. The interview you did with your Dad was powerful. Thanks for the teaching
