"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?”  Romans 10:14,15

Emmanuel supports the Bible College run by Pastor Jacob in India . Since its beginnings in 1995 (with 15 students under a mango tree), this college has trained over 450 believers.

On 14 th January 2005, 45 students received their certificates in the 10th graduation service. Before receiving graduation, they were asked, “ are you willing to die for Christ? ” They all responded “yes”, and stood to their feet as the senior pastors prayed for them.

Most of these students have gone into the mission field to advance the Kingdom in unreached tribal areas. These missionaries are given enough money for a one-way ticket to reach their mission centre, and then are left in the hands of the Lord to support them. They often suffer starvation and persecution before getting their first believer. It is not always easy to serve the Lord, but it is such a great blessing if we serve the Lord faithfully. Please pray for these dear ones, that they may not be discouraged … and praise God for their willingness to lay down their lives.

Luke 10:2 “The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few.”

Testimony of a Bible College student - Brother S. Mark

This brother was brought up in a Hindu tribal family. A few years ago he was possessed with demons and left his wife, children and his village. One of our missionaries, Isaac, met him on the road and took him home and prayed for him for a few weeks. Then God healed and saved him. Last year this man joined our Bible College and graduated on 14th January 2005. Soon after the graduation, he went back to his village and his life has become a great testimony to the people in that area. The people began to listen to what God has done in his life. Within a few months we have baptised 30 people through his work. Now we are planning to put a mud hut church in that place.

Kindly pray for this brother and the ministry.

(Pastor Jacob in a letter to Pastor Philip, January 2005):

“ Your gracious support from the beginning till this minute helped us to prepare around 120 students in past 3 years to send them into the mission field. We humbly request you and dear ones to stand with us continuously to prepare hundreds of missionaries in the years to come as we work together for His kingdom. “

(Pastor Jacob in a letter to Pastor Philip, March 2005)

“ By the grace of the Lord, work of God is increasing as we are going through more problems and persecutions. In past two months we have given baptism to 452 people and hundreds of people received Jesus in our mission field area. Every day we are listening to many testimonies from our full time missionaries about what God is doing among hundreds of villages.”
